What is Business Intelligence?
Business Intelligence (BI) is the discipline of answering business questions with data that is defined, modelled and presented so people can decide. A dashboard is one output. The work underneath is the product.
BI is a path, not a file type
Teams often treat BI as “we need a Power BI report.” The file is the last mile. Before that you need agreement on the questions, the KPIs, the grain of the data, and the calculations. Skip those and you get pretty charts that contradict each other.
A complete BI design therefore looks like: business question → KPI → data model → measures (DAX in Power BI) → dashboard pages. That is the path BiDesignLab automates with AI, still with you approving each step.
Who it is for
